Liverpools Central Library reopened in May following a two-year refurbishment project that saw the existing Brown Library and its extension demolished and a new five-story library built in its place. Inpro 1300 and 1400 wall guards, and vertical surface mount corner guards were used in the back rooms of the library, as well as one of the main corridors. The wall and corner guards were installed to protect the surfaces from damage caused by trolleys and help to reduce maintenance costs by absorbing impact and deflecting moving trolleys in areas that are subject to heavier trolley and pedestrian traffic.
