The Project Brief:
The community hospital required a user-friendly handrail for the internal walls suitable for dementia care whilst providing reliable support for people with dexterity difficulties.
What the client says:
“My client was extremely happy with the product, it met all of their requirements passing the approval of clinical staff, ligature specialists, management staff and patients. Comments were also received that the handrail colour complements the building and makes a previously dull one coloured corridor network far more interesting.”
Adam Peters,
Building Services Manager, GFM UK
The Solution:
Collaborating with our UK partner, Intastop, the client selected the 1000BH Anti-Ligature* Handrail which was launched in 2020 after being designed and developed specifically for mental health considerations.
Adam Peters, Building Service Manager, explained that he had previously worked with Intastop on various projects he said “I knew I could rely on Intastop to provide quality products to suit my client’s needs and install them to an excellent standard.”
The Benefits:
*While this product is designed for behavioral health applications, it does not guarantee patient safety.
